Lightfoot Windows (LFW) was established by Mr. A.P. Lightfoot, who formed a group of companies focused on manufacturing steel windows and reselling Crittall windows. The company initially operated stockyards in Crouch End and Beckenham.

Gordon Smith was hired to manage the struggling Beckenham branch.
After successfully revitalising the Beckenham branch, Gordon was presented with a buyout opportunity, leading to the establishment of Lightfoot Windows (Kent). He continued to develop the company further.
LFW received a special commendation for its ongoing commitment to providing exceptional technical assistance and service to customers seeking Crittall Homelight residential steel windows and doors.
Kevin Smith, Gordon’s son, joined the company and became a key driver of its growth.
Gordon Smith was awarded a certificate of achievement by Crittall Windows Ltd for a decade of sustained growth and customer satisfaction.
LFW achieved remarkable success by winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the inaugural Crittall House of the Year awards.
LFW secured 1st place in the Crittall House of the Year awards, along with two accolades at the national GGP (Glass & Glazing Products) Installer Awards, becoming the only company to win multiple awards.
LFW completed a hat-trick, winning 1st place in the Crittall House of the Year awards for the third time in just four years.
